Mantras: use of ‘Shri’

This was Shri Mataji’s advice during havans at Ealing ashram in London, UK, and International havans thereafter. Gregoire and other international leaders also confirmed they had heard it said many times. The advice is to NOT use ‘Shri’ when a specific rakshasa is named. Eg. Mahishasura mardini. But when generally referring to negativity we still use ‘Shri’: Eg. Shri Rakshasa hantri (as it is not a specific entity’s name). Also the special exception of Shri Chamunda (which is a nom de guerre conferred upon Shri Mahakali as the destroyer of Chanda and Munda. But note that Chanda-Munda vinashini is without ‘Shri’ ).
